The Hive v1 1-CODEX: Lead the Insectoid Swarm in a Fantasy Adventure

Suppose that in our own world 100% of within-national variation is caused by either IQ plus personal job choice factors. Meanwhile, across-national differences are caused 50% by IQ. Here both (1) and (2) would be true, but (1) would not imply any kind of hive mind factor.

Water is the second most important component of honey. Its content is critical, since it affects the storage of honey. The final water content depends on numerous environmental factors during production such as weather and humidity inside the hives, but also on nectar conditions and treatment of honey during extraction and storage. Organic acids constitute 0.57% of honey and include gluconic acid which is a bye product of enzymatic digestion of glucose. The organic acids are responsible for the acidity of honey and contribute largely to its characteristic taste.

Bacillus spps are most prevalent followed by Gram -variable pleomorphic bacteria. Mould, Actinomycetes, Gram-negative rods (probably of Enterobacteriaceae) and yeast have also been isolated while Streptomyces spp were recovered from one larva. This microbial load compares favourably with the intestinal microflora of adult honeybees, which is dominated by Gram variable pleomorphic bacteria of uncertain taxonomic status, Bacillus spp, Enterobacteriaceae, Penicillium spp., Aspergillus spp., and sometimes frequently Torulopsis spp23. Pollen may be the original source of microbes in the intestines of honeybees. It has been suggested that flowers and hives are more important sources of microbes than the soil24. Aerobic spore forming Bacillus were the most frequently encountered microbes on the external surface, crop and intestine of the honey bees25.

Hive Mind is a state of being where multiple users share the same consciousness. Hive mind allows a group of people (often biologically related) "share" the same mind. In some cases one person could take control of another separate body to add to the hive. Like most hive insects like bees and ants, each can work autonomously, though they think the same thing at the same time. The members have little individuality, more or less they are only marionettes controlled by a puppeteer. In some cases, the members of the hive mind have separate brains, mindsets, personalities, and individuality. But both are basically the same, all members work as one, they can all see, hear, and know what the others do. All work as one, each thinks with the same "mind", not as a sum of its parts.

In late 997.M41 the Imperium first lost contact with several systems in the Segmentum Tempestus. Inquisitor Kryptman implemented a great astrotelepathic augury, which became known as the Kryptman Census, and eventually made contact with every documented planet on the southern fringe of the Imperium. The worlds that ceased to respond began to form a pattern, and Kryptman identified it as the approach of a hive fleet of terrifying size.[2]

The viscount is suspicious, but the bribe was sufficient to gain access to the restricted section of the archives. The money would have been better spent elsewhere, the archives being almost devoid of Imperium-era records.

After several failed attempts, I got my answer underneath the city. There is a hive of hidden passages in Kirkwall's sewers. Now and then a lucky "sewer rat" comes across an unlooted chamber, and then a cache of ancient Tevinter relics spreads through the black market. We must search below the city.

American Foulbrood (AFB) is a bacterial disease, caused by Paenibacillus larvae, that affects honeybees (Apis mellifera). Alternative strategies to control AFB are based on the treatment of the beehives with antimicrobial natural substances such as extracts, essential oils and/or pure compounds from plants, honey by-products, bacteria and moulds. The broth microdilution method is currently one of the most widely used methods to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of a substance. In this regard, the fact that most natural products, due to their lipophilic nature, must be dissolved in organic solvents or their aqueous mixtures is an issue of major concern because the organic solvent becomes part of the dilution in the incubation medium, and therefore, can interfere with bacterial viability depending on its nature and concentration. A systematic study was carried out to determine by the broth microdilution method the MIC and the maximum non inhibitory concentration (MNIC) against P. larvae of the most common organic solvents used to extract or dissolve natural products, i.e. ethanol, methanol, acetonitrile, n-butanol, dimethylsulfoxide, and acidified hydromethanolic solutions. From the MIC and MNIC for each organic solvent, recommended maximum concentrations in contact with P. larvae were established: DMSO 5% (v/v), acetonitrile 7.5% (v/v), ethanol 7.5% (v/v), methanol 12% (v/v), n-butanol 1% (v/v), and methanol-water-acetic acid (1.25:98.71:0.04, v/v/v). 2ff7e9595c
